Spring Grove - Gibbs Hill, age 95, passed away, peacefully at home, on December 19, 2020. He was the loving husband of the late Stella R. (Wynegar) Hill, who passed away in 2010.

Gibbs was born in Buelodine NC on March 12, 1925 and was the son of the late Isaac Hill and Kansas (Garland) Hill. He proudly served his country as a Seabee in the US Navy during WWII and the Korean War and was honorably discharged. He worked as a truck driver for American Chain and Cable for over 40 years prior to retiring. He was a longtime member of Lake Marburg Church, formerly Oak View Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon and helped in the construction of the church. He was an avid antique car collector and was one of the oldest members of the Antique Automobile Club of America, the Gettysburg Region Antique Car Club and the York Antique Auto Club. He enjoyed taking yearly trips with his wife as part of the Glidden Antique Car Tour. He was also a member of the Jefferson and the Spring Grove Historical Society. Gibbs was a true gentleman; he was a devoted husband and father and cherished the time on his farm with his family and friends.

He is survived by his sons Curtis Hill and Nathan Hill and his wife Grace and his grandchildren Isaac, Jessica, Chad, Zack and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased. By his daughter Cherie Ann Lehner, his brother Clingman Hill and his sisters Lillian, Ora, Irene and his baby sister Estelle.
